Solutions for Trainers
(Use Experiential Learning for Lasting Results)

Corporate training is one of the toughest environments an educator can face.  Communicating new information to impatient, sometimes jaded, always distracted adult learners.  Dealing with inter-generational social and cultural divides.  Coping with the increased tempo of change, and variable willingness of companies to pay for developing their people...

While trainers have used 'activities' and 'games' for years, most will agree that they are not fun.  As a result, class participants tune them out, step out in the hallway to take a call, or do anything else to avoid being trapped in an hour-long exercise.

What if, however, the games were fun?  What if they were designed to entertain first, then educate?  What if they borrowed from decades of Darwinian evolution in the hobby games space, using mechanics and themes beloved by millions of players around the world?

That would enable trainers to focus on the higher-level learning, observe the class dynamics, and help participants model the behaviors they are there to learn.

In a recent engagement, CBand worked with a globally recognized negotiations expert to develop a short, entertaining and enlightening game.  The goal was to demonstrate the generational differences in negotiation styles.  The game is so successful that a distribution deal with Barnes & Noble is in the works.
